Yesterday’s post earned me a bunch of new followers. Hello!
I’m so happy to see people – who are just starting their recovery journeys – come across my little nook of the interwebs, and I want to be of help in any way that I can. I write a lot about recovery. I’ve been sober for a bit over 10 years and it’s obviously a huge part of my life and who I am. But it’s not ALL I write about here, so I don’t want anyone to be disappointed when they click over to my site and see something about – say – horror movies. Or my ongoing search for the perfect beehive wig. Or my cats. Because I write about those things, too. I write about a lot of things because I am interested in a lot of things. That’s one of the rewards of sobriety. My husband and I also take care of my mother-in-law, who has Alzheimer’s. I write about that, too. Being present for my husband and his mother is another one of those rewards.
I hope that whatever it is I write about, you’ll laugh or identify or enjoy. Thanks!
